Qualified realize of Character Education
At the level of theory, character education is very promising for answering problems of education in Indonesia. However, the level of practice, there is often a bias in its application. But as an attempt, a character education program must be measurable accomplishments. Talk about measurement means there must be a measuring instrument, measuring instruments mathematics education. Well, what about character education?
If given education about the character then the question is not actually measure the real situation. For example, if you meet someone who lost half way through and do not have the money to continue the journey, what do you do? To test scores good results then the answer is to help the person, either give money or drive him to his destination. My question is, if this is really the case if there will be such theories? As exam answers? So what measuring instrument character education? Observation coupled with indicators of the desired behavior. For example, observing a student in the class for a particular subject, of course, the students do not know when he was in observation.

can define the indicator
if he has good behavior when the
teacher explains, suppose listening carefully, not
noisy and the presence of a complete record. Easy
is not it? And this should be compared with some situations, not only
in the classroom alone. There are many ways to

Form the character of students is not an easy and quick effort. It requires continuous efforts and deep reflection to make a series Moral Choice (moral decisions) that should be followed up with concrete action, so be it practical and reflective. Required amount of time to make it into a custom (habit) and form the character or nature of a person. According to Helen Keller (the first deaf-blind man who graduated cum laude from Radcliffe College in 1904) "Character can not be develop in ease and quite. In addition, the declaration of a character education course is intended to be one of the answers to the various problems facing the nation is currently widely seen, heard and felt, which is where many problems arise in identifying the source of the failure of education in injecting moral values to learners. Many things can be done to realize the character education in schools. The concept of character is not quite serve as a point in the syllabus and lesson plan at school, but should be more than that, run and practiced. Begin by learning to obey the school rules, and enforce it in a disciplined manner. Schools must make character education as a value system that is well developed in schools embodied in examples and real appeal exhibited by educators and education in schools in everyday activities at school.
On the other hand, character education is an effort that must involve all stakeholders in education, family, school and the school environment and the wider community. Therefore, the first step that needs to be done is to rebuild a partnership and networking education which seems to be breaking down the nearest of the three stakeholders in the school environment teachers, families and communities. The formation and character education will not succeed as long as the stakeholders of education environment there is no continuity and harmony. Thus, household formation and family as environment and character education first and foremost should be empowered which is further supported by the environment and learning conditions in schools that reinforce the cycle of formation. In addition, no less important in public education. Communities also greatly affect the person's character and disposition. Wider community environment greatly affects the success of planting ethical values, aesthetic to the formation of character. According Qurais Shihab (1996; 321), the situation with the social system espoused values, influence the attitudes and perspectives of society as a whole. If the value systems and their view is limited to the here and now, the efforts and ambitions are limited to the same thing.
Want to achieve quality character education?
